The Raja Laut is a beautiful, traditionally built wooden schooner, perfect for 12 guests who want to cruise Western Malaysia and the Andaman Sea in style

Experience the splendour of a classic boat with a luxury cruise aboard Malaysia’s magnificent Raja Laut schooner, based on the exquisite tropical island of Langkawi and available for private charter.

Built by local craftsmen using Borneo woods, the Raja Laut (which means “King of the Seas”) boasts tasteful décor that takes guests back to an era of romantic grandeur while sailing the islands off Malaysia’s west coast.

As a gaff-topsail schooner, the design of the hull and rigging was inspired by traditional schooner yachts and trading vessels of the 19th century, a design much loved by classic boat enthusiasts all over the world.

The 100-foot-long schooner has six cabins with en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, perfect for overnight charters. There’s also a dining room and a saloon, equipped with a music and video system. The spacious deck is ideal for sunbathing or evening cocktails. The private yacht is yours so the atmosphere on board can be as casual as you like - barefoot cruising at its best.

There is plenty to do on a short cruise, from scuba diving and snorkeling to fishing. The vessel cruises the 99 islands of Langkawi, around Penang, north to Thailand and south to Borneo and is available for private charter with a crew of six, including a skipper, dive master and top-class chef.

The Raja Laut is anchored at the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club on the beautiful and mystical island of Langkawi, Malaysia. For more information, log on to www.rajalaut.com.
