Luxury river and ocean cruise operator Peter Deilmann Cruises has launched a range of golf cruises onboard its river and ocean cruise vessels, taking in courses in destinations as varied as the Canary Islands, Dubai, Provence and Greenland. Experienced golf pros are on hand on all golf cruises and to add a competitive element, there are competitions on each cruise. Highlights of the 14 themed cruises include The Emirates Golf Cup which includes a stay at the Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai and rounds at five of the emirate's top courses, including The Montgomery, designed by Colin Montgomery and Desmond Muirhead. Passengers then board Deilmann's five-star ship, Deutschland, on December 5 and call at Mumbai, Cochin, Colombo and Phuket, playing a further three courses before the cruise ends on 19 December. Or why not try a river cruise with a golf theme? The Rhône and Saône cruise in October includes five nights at the four-star Moulin de Vernègues near Avignon and rounds at four different courses before boarding the Princesse de Provence in Arles on October 6. The cruise calls at Avignon, Tournon, Vienne, Lyon, Mâcon and Trévoux before arriving in Lyon on 13 October with the opportunity to play at a further three courses en route.
