Disney Dream, which extends the Disney Cruise Line fleet, features adults-only entertainment options in The District, an area featuring lounges, bars, and a nightclub.

Disney Cruise Line (DCL) markets its family cruise vacations by including special activities and entertainment for every member of the family. The Disney Dream, the newest addition to the DCL, provides a range of nighttime entertainment for adults by creating The District. The District’s five venues offer adults the opportunity to relax while watching the sun set over a city skyline, enjoy a game at the pub, or dance their glass slippers off.

Dream’s District Lounge Provides A Relaxed Meeting Place

District Lounge introduces guests to the entertainment neighborhood known collectively as The District. The lounge offers a low-key environment with an open floor plan and comfortable seating. Guests can relax here with service from the full bar, listening to live piano music and entertainment. As the first location in the District, the lounge also offers a good meeting spot for guests moving on to other venues.

Dream’s Metro Pub is a Stylish Sports Bar

An update to the traditional pub, Metro Pub is designed with wood finishes, a stamped-metal ceiling, modern furnishing, leather chairs, and two banquette niches for small groups. Metro Pub’s 103-inch plasma screen with digital surround sound, as well as several flat-screen televisions, offers a friendly and causal atmosphere for guests wanting to relax and watch live sports broadcasts. The pub will also host games and activities.

In keeping with pub tradition, Metro pub will offers a diverse selection of international and domestic beers as well as wine and bar service.

Dream’s Skyline Bar Transforms Nightly

Disney Dream’s Skyline bar looks like a luxury penthouse, including a digital fireplace, that help convey an intimate atmosphere. The venue’s highlight, though, is its spectacular views. As its name suggests, the bar’s view features tall windows, actually seven 65-inch LCD screens, that give guests a bird’s eye view of a city skyline as it transforms, in real time, from day to night.

What makes this view even more stunning is that the view changes each night, as Skyline shows guests Paris, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. The full-service bar will offer signature cocktails representing the city shown that day; the day New York is the featured city, for instance, Skyline will offer Cosmos, Manhattans, and Long-Island Iced Teas.

Dream’s Pink Cocktail Bar Inspired by Champagne

Pink is themed to its drink of choice, champagne. Pink is designed to make guests feel as if they are inside a bottle of the famous French bubbly. Using a French art-nouveau style, Pink’s fluid layout helps realize the cocktail lounge’s theme. Glass bubbles on the walls create a flowing effect and Fantasia’s pink elephants dance among them. Light fixtures resemble flutes, and the bar’s wall looks like a bursting bottle of champagne.

In addition to serving a number of champagnes, sparking wines, and proseccos, Pink offers top-shelf wine and liquor as part of a complete bar service for guests wishing to enjoy its romantic and playful setting.

Dream’s Evolution More Than A Dance Club

Evolution supplies adult guests traveling on the Disney Dream with a contemporary nightclub atmosphere. Inspired by a butterfly’s transformation, the venue is designed with wing patterns on its walls and its ceiling uses light patterns to suggest butterflies in motion. The club features a lighted dance floor, located below a butterfly-shaped feature light, that pulses to music.

In addition to its bar and dance area, Evolution provides plentiful seating because the club serves as The District’s venue for large-scale, adult entertainment: cabaret shows, musical performances, dance parties, and comedy acts.

Booking for Disney Dream starts on Nov. 9, 2009, and the Dream sets sail starting in January 2011. The Dream will take three-, four-, and five-day cruises that depart from Port Canaveral and travel to Nassau, Bahamas, and Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island. With Disney Dream's entire range of adult activities, Disney Cruises Line’s expands both its fleet and venues for adults.
