Carnival Elation Cruise With KidsFun Activities and Kids Clubs on Carnival CruisesOct 28, 2009 Janis Masyk-Jackson
Carnival Cruise Line's Elation provides a wealth of fun activities for kids, along with some great shore excursions.
When planning a vacation with kids, it's important to make sure there are plenty of activities to keep kids busy and happy. Carnival's Elation ship has lots of activities, both indoors and out, to keep kids entertained. The best part is that mom and dad can spend some time alone together while the kids are having fun. Child Care on Carnival CruisesFor children two to eleven years of age, there's Camp Carnival. Here, kids can play games, do art projects, (like coloring their own Carnival Cruise T-shirt,) hear stories and have dance parties, to name just a few activities. The kids groups are broken down by age with the youngest being two to five years of age, juniors being six to eight, and intermediates being nine to eleven years old. For kids who are twelve to fourteen years of age, there's Camp C. Some of their activities include playing video games, going on scavenger hunts and pool parties. Teenagers, fifteen to eighteen, can attend dance parties, watch movies, play outdoor sports or just chill listening to music. There are even supervised shore excursions just for teens. Free child care is provided until 10:00 p.m. each night. After that, kids can still stay and have fun until 3:00 a.m., with an hourly fee imposed. Don't forget to let kids stay late for the final party when they can exchange email addresses and say goodbye to all the new kids they made on the cruise. Family Activities on Carnival's ElationWhen cruising on Carnival Elation, be sure to soak up the sun and spend some time at one of the pools on deck. Kids will have a blast as they plunge down the Twister Waterslide. Families can try their luck at ping pong or play a round of miniature golf. Each day Carnival gives out a daily guide which shows all of the onboard activities for the day. Some of the family activities include trivia games, contests, family fun hops at the disco, and karaoke. Families can also stop by the library to play some board games. Carnival's Fun Family Shore ExcursionsWhen in port, many families like to enjoy a shore excursion. These can be booked through Carnival and prices vary depending on the excursions. Some of the side trips offered are parasailing, snorkeling, and kayaking. For those who would like a view of ocean life, some ports have either semi-submersible or fully submersible submarine tours. Of course there are also a variety of other shore excursions, including historical and sight seeing trips, but, they aren't quite as much fun for kids. When booking shores excursions, be sure to book early as some fill up quickly. Also, check for age requirements as some require a child to be a certain age to participate. Parents never have to worry about keeping kids busy while on the Carnival Elation. With all of the activities available, parents can be assured that their kids won't get bored and instead, will have a blast! Readers may also enjoy Carnival Cruise Lines Food.
