From five star dining to casual pizza, there's something to please everyone on a Carnival Cruise ship.
Carnival Cruise Lines is known for its reasonable prices, exotic ports of call and the Lido deck, made famous by the televisions series, The Love Boat. Carnival is also known for its fabulous food. Passengers can choose from a variety of dining options and food is available 24 hours a day. Buffets on Carnival CruisesIf a large variety food and lots of it is what someone is looking for, then Carnival's got it. The breakfast buffet consists of standard breakfast food including eggs, bacon, pancakes, pastries, and hot and cold cereals. In additional, passengers can have omelets especially prepared to their specifications. Coffee, teas, juice and milk are also available. One word of caution, the bacon can be on the greasy side. Lunch items change daily, although there is always soup, a variety of salads, fresh fruit, pasta, and several desserts to choose from. Entrees may include roast beef, chicken, or fresh salmon. Guests are welcome to dine indoors or sit outside, poolside. There's also a smaller outdoor buffet. Fine Dining on Carnival Cruise LinesThe highlight of a passenger's culinary experience on a Carnival Cruise is dinner. With both early and late seatings, dinners begin with an array of appetizers for diners to choose from. Choices include lobster bisque, black tiger shrimp cocktail, spinach and corn timbale, and asparagus vichyssoise. Passengers are welcome to select as many starters as they wish. For the main course, guests can choose from a Carnival classic, such as grilled flat iron steak and broiled filet of snapper, or a variety of other entrées. Some of the entrées include bourbon and honey glazed roast spring chicken, Chateaubriand with sauce Béarnaise, double cut chops of New England spring lamb, and Indian vegetarian dinner. Healthy choices are also available. Lower in sodium, cholesterol, calories, and fat, passengers can still enjoy a delicious dinner with entrées such as grilled fillet of fresh Norwegian salmon with dill mousseline. There is also a complete wine list available and guests can either order by the glass or can purchase a bottle which the staff will hold onto until the guest's next meal. Desserts on Carnival Cruise LinesDinner just wouldn't be complete without a mouthwatering dessert. Passengers can choose from such delightful desserts as baked Alaska, Amaretto cake, or a tropical fruit platter. Ice cream and sherbet are available, along with a variety of cheeses. For chocolate lovers, don't miss the warm, chocolate melting cake and yes, it really does melt in one's mouth. Served with a scoop of refreshing vanilla ice cream, Carnival's warm chocolate melting cake is one of the most popular desserts on board. Steakhouse Dining on Carnival CruisesOn select Carnival ships, passengers can choose to dine at the Steakhouse. This upscale, Manhattan style restaurant features delectable entrées such as broiled lobster tail, classic Porterhouse steak, grilled lamb chops, and mushrooms strudel on asparagus fondue. Reservations are needed and there is an additional $30.00 charge per person. Sushi, Snacks, 24 Hour Room Service, and More Food on Carnival CruisesThe food never stops on a Carnival cruise. Guests can grab a snack at the sushi bar and kids will love the free ice cream. Hungry in the middle of the night? It's not a problem. There is complementary, 24 hour room service available. In addition, pizza and salad are always available on the Lido deck. Be sure to check out the midnight buffet and be sure not to miss the special chocolate buffet.
