Voyages of Discovery has announced the 2008 itineraries of Explorer II, the perfect ship for lovers of cultural cruises

British cruise specialist Voyages of Discovery has revealed the initial details of its exciting new programme for the Explorer II (Swan Hellenic's old ship, the much-loved Minerva), with out of the ordinary cruising destinations that will include Antarctica and South Georgia, South Africa, Tristan da Cunha, Canada, the US east coast, the Indian Ocean Islands, Mombasa, Panama Canal, Peru, Chile and the Galapagos.

The release of the programme follows the recent announcement that Voyages of Discovery will be leasing the Explorer II on a long-term basis. The ship will begin operating with Voyages of Discovery passengers in March 2008 after undergoing a soft refurbishment programme.

The Explorer II onboard experience will offer open seating dining, an extensive lecture and guest speaker programme, plus an atmospheric classical music trio and pianist. Selected shore excursions will be included, as will all taxes and tips plus wine with evening meals.

In addition to the above destinations, the new programme will also include the Mediterranean & Aegean, the Black Sea, North Africa, the Baltic Sea and Greenland. For more information, visit www.voyagesofdiscovery.com.
